Kiddie Catnip Choccie Chip Cookies
Kids go crazy for these cookies someone once asked if I had put catnip in them because of the reaction whenever these are presented to little people! Personally I think the adults would like to keep them to themselves but often don’t get a look in! The key is using really good chocolate chips. I use good quality Belgian milk chocolate but feel free to mix up the dark and milk if you are baking for adults
What You Need
Ingredients
1 very fresh large egg
150g softened unsalted butter
80g caster sugar
80g light muscavado sugar
225g plain flour
Half tsp salt
Half tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 tsp vanilla extract
200g good quality milk chocolate chips
How To Make It
1. Heat oven to 170 degrees C. Line 2 baking sheets
2. Place butter and sugars in a bowl and beat until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla
3. Sieve flour, bicarb and salt into the bowl and mix until combined. Add the Choc chips and mix
4. Using an ice cream scoop place the cookie dough onto the lined sheets
5. Bake for 8-10 minutes until light brown and soft in the centre
6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly whilst still on the trays. Once set remove the cookies from the tray and cool completely on a wire rack
7. Enjoy!
